July 16th update - boys awoke with a high from last nights opening ceremonies and after 9 am breakfast, off to the fields. We are taking busses and trams since we left home and great to see the young boys give up their seats to ladies and the elderly, they are learning, LOL.
Boys A up first and we lose to a good Swedish team 4-0. We are really tired and sore and muscles are sore and we are squeezing every last ounce of energy from these boys. No quit in them as they are still smiling.
Boys B next and we lose 3-0 but play very well against another Swedish team. Hard to compete with multiple Pks called, but I am not going to start complaining here.
All games are behind for some reason and we have to rush game to game without much rest in between.
Boys C next and best game of the day as we play a German team and its physical. We lose 2-0 but competed every minute of this game.
Proud of these boys and we head home for another great dinner and an early curfew of 9 pm and the boys are excited about that.
Sunny today, around 70-75 degrees and all are enjoying Sweden.
Big day Wednesday as we have our last group game followed by knockout games so wish us luck.
