14 July 2015
Day started with lots of excitement as the opening ceremonies were still in our heads. Sunny and 65-70 so great day to play.
Girls up first and came to play.
Won 3-0 vs. a Danish team with goals from DMAC(Dana Mcalpine) Lily, one of our guest players, and a bomb from Nicollette Casarcia. Girls played very well clicking on all cylinders. And what a thrill for Dana to score a goal in Europe on her 18th birthday, memory that will last a lifetime.
Boys play next and go down 2-0 in first 15 before Cannon Braggs scored to make it 2-1 at the half. Second half we took it to the Swedish team and Luciano Brignone tied it up late to secure a 2-2 tie. We played very well in the 2nd half and happy with the efforts.
Kids go to Heden for lunch and we do match analysis at Heden Stadium as we watch Ghana play, great team and great ball movement.
Resting tonight after another great dinner as Wednesday is big day with group placement at stake for both teams.
Tour going great. Kids learning the train, tram, and bus system, which is awesome and I even see kids give up their seats for elderly and pregnant women so they are being great ambassadors as well.
Wish us luck tomorrow and hope some of you all are getting up early to watch the games on Gothia Cup TV, although I hear the quality is a bit rough sometimes.
Ciao,
Ed
