German/American fest...
Time to play and play we did. After breakfast, we took a nice group photo for our hostel hosts as they loved us and want us back. Why not, we were well behaved and had a ball. Great food all week.
Today was our German/American soccer fest as all teams played.
Girls first as they play 8v8 here in Germany and we win 4-0 with goals from Abby(2), Kelly, and Alex. Girls had an average 1st half but really played well in 2nd. They had a great week of training and it showed as we did a lot of basic technical drills.
Boys D next and they also won 5-0 with goals from Max(2), Connor Powers, and Jonathan Otto(2) as they put on a possession clinic and moved the ball around great.
Boys C also played well, as they won 2-0 as Sebastian and Jordan Cano scored. The boys were very well organized as the back four really played well.
Boys B had a tough game but pulled it out as they 3-2 with goals from Michael, Logan Stewart, and Tino with Stewies goal a candidate for goal of the tour. What a bomb from about 35 yards out.
Boys A finished off a perfect day with a 3-1 win as James Mairson, Brenden, and Nick made tallies. They played against an U21 team so they are primed for Gothia Cup.
A bbq with our German opponents and fans ended a great day and now we are packing for our overnight transfer to Sweden. What a great stay in Germany and we thank our hosts and we will return here as it is a perfect place to visit and train.
Gothia Cup awaits us so we will expect more great accomplishments.
Only issue we have had here is lack of internet cafes and lack of adequate wifi but in Gothenburg our hotel will have both of those.
Speak to you from Sweden.
