Long transfer day as we had an 8 hour bus ride from Germany to Frederickshaven, Denmark. A good team bonding trip for all.
Arrived at Dana Cup and it was 60 degrees. What a difference. Checked teams in and walked around the complex and then we walked to town for lunch. We had to train as we always sweat out transfers and weather warmed up significantly.
After training and a shower a mandatory team nap for entire group. Planned for 2 hours but had to wake all up after 3 1/2 hours. Great rest and now off to dinner. Cafeteria style food and it was very good.
Tonight was opening ceremonies and Stars n Stripes walked into the stadium loud and proud. A very nice ceremony then a light jog back to school to beat the rain, lots of it.
We have one team per classroom on cots and although tight quarters the kids are really enjoying themselves. 10 pm curfew as we prepare for games tomorrow. Wish us luck.
No POD for today.
