Hot again today but no problem as the kids are in soccer mode. Girls play a friendly game as a favor to another American group as we love to play games. We play a Swedish team in the U19 age group, we lose 5-1 but we gain valuable experience especially in the physical department.
Natalie Fulton got the goal with an assist from Charlie Sorensen. This game gave us a chance to play some differentpositions and the girls played pretty good. After a picnic lunch, we played an imprortant group game against one of the best clubs in Sweden. Once again an early goal from bad marking put us in a hole but Axie Russell tied the game right before halftime with a great free kick goal.
We died late in the second half and gave up 4 more goals to lose 5-1 and this hurt as goal difference is crucial in tournament play. After some time to wind down and relax the club, Mossens, from yesterday invited us to a bbq at their club which is walking distance from our school. Another great time exchanging cultures and fun times. Great experience. Tomorrow is huge for us and the girls know it as they have a 10:30 curfew and no complaints.
The boys spent the afternoon in the sand pit playing 5 v 5 and watching games in the Nike cage. Tomorrow they are in the cage in a 3 v 3 game as well.
Wish us luck,
Ed
