Back to full time soccer tour today as we trained in the morning to prepare for our last friendly match in Iceland.
Miserable weather, cold and rainy, figures. After lunch, some packing to prepare for Sweden and then a team nap, love those girls.
Took a 30 minute bus ride to the other side of Reykavik and saw rolling hills and mountains. Nothing like the volcanic landscape we have been used to.
Great pre-game and then the wheels fell off. We were down 1-0 after 20 minutes but were lucky that was it. Second half saw us play a great 20 minutes but they had a forward who was spectacular and she keep running through us, final score 4-0. Saw some good things at time, but we need to be physical and quicker.
Boys played with the Iceland team against an American team and totally dominated winning 7-0. Really played well and all of them had a ball joining the Iceland team, this has really been a great experience for them.
After the games, both groups had dinner with opponents and returned home to pack and clean up for our long transfer to Gothenburg.
