I do not know how we can keep this pace up. Each day is better than the previous.
Training after early breakfast this morning and then a city tour of Rehkavik. We saw some wonderful sights and learned more interesting facts. Did you know that over 2000 earthquakes were registered last year in Iceland, no worries as you can not feel most of them.
We saw the reception house where Ronald Reagan and Gorbachev met in 1986. This is labeled as the beginning of the end of the cold war. We also visited the pearl, a site on top of the city that overlooks the entire city. Great views and then a geyser to boot. We toured one of the prettiest churches in Iceland and then we spent several hours shopping downtown.
Some pasta salad for dinner and then home again for an evening run and stretch followed by sit ups and push ups. We will be fit when we return that is certain.
Kids are calling home and everything is going great. Weather was cold today as it was around 45-48 degrees but the sun never really goes down. At midnight it seems like around 7 pm back home as the sky is constantly blue or white depending on the clouds.
Tomorrow will bring us more training and a visit to the blue lagoon so more to follow. According to Genus, the Icelandic boys coach, Morgan Faust was player of the day for the 9th. No POD for girls yesterday.
