Hamburg, germany - saturday - the girls 14 started the day off with an 11-0 drubbing of the local club that is hosting the fest.  4 goals by helen heres got us off and running.  the girls 16 followed up with a 6-1 thrashing of a womens team and played some really great soccer. they are really tuned up for the gothia cup, unfinished business you might say as they lost in the finals last year.  the best game of the day pitted the boys against the best club side in hamburg and we won 1-0, great game with no subs, a few sick boys today, and the boys played with a tremendous amount of heart.  the club hosted our teams with a great bbq that included brats, pork chops, etc.  a little light rain did nothing to dampen our spirits and the kids were very excited upon their arrival home. a little too excited you might say and i had to have one of our midnight talks about expectations, etc. good group but some good reminder talks go a long way as well as team situps.  tomorrow off to sweden.
