January 8th - Match Day #2
Game day, best day of the week.
Breakfast at 9 and 10 am a little Ed Yoga and stretching - no comments until you try it, LOL.
Relax and nap and some laundry etc, before lunch at 2:30.
Depart at 5 for our game at Villarreal, which is set for 7pm.
Game delayed an hour so we now start at 8.
Its cool in the evening, actually, its cold, but if you are playing its perfect.
What a start as we are overwhelmed with pressure and possession and we catch them on the counter as Kelsey Sheldon puts Kenne Kessler in and she slots the first goal home in the 6th minute. Game settles down and we get more possession and in the 32nd minute Kenne storms down the right side and serves a perfect ball to Bronwyn Boswell at the back post for a 2-0 lead. Villarreal is persistent with their attack but in the 41st minute Kenne once again gains possession and beats 3 players while being fouled and fires a shot to the far post from 20 yards out to take a 3-0 lead.

Villarreal - 0
2nd half starts with the Spurs on the attach and could have scored 2 goals in the first 3 minutes. Villarreal finally gains a stronghold and scores a goal in the 67th minute. Now they pressure like crazy and create chance after chance. We catch them on numerous counters and are unlucky not score again but in the 89th minute a questionable offsides call is not given and Villarreal score again to make it 3-2. We see the game out and end up winning 3-2. Great game and deserved result.
Back to hotel for 11:30 pm dinner and off to bed.
Time to relax and bit and enjoy our victory.
